It’s Christmas and I was thinking about favorites vs. traditions. For us, we don’t really follow many traditions but we do have favorites. Mainly though, we like to try new things for the holidays.
This year those new items included the Nutcracker, believe it or not, which was outstanding! We saw it performed by the Colorado Ballet. Simply outstanding. We also took some time to enjoy warm weather in the Phoenix area and I finally saw the Grand Canyon, which was simply amazing!
For favorites we spent a night at the Brown Palace in Denver which is an amazing old hotel with a huge atrium in the center of the hotel where they play jazz and Christmas music. Many many special memories there!
Then there are the favorite Christmas movies / shows we’ve watched with a few more to come today. Finally there is family time! Oh, and food!
