Thanksgiving

Today is a day to give thanks, for our families, our friends, our health and even for ourselves.

Me, I’m thankful for all those! I’m also thankful to be able to still see and soak in all the beauty that nature brings. Vast high valleys with majestic, snow covered mountains all around them. I saw that today. I saw high peaks over 50 miles away, reaching into the air. Vast, solid and ancient. Here long before humans arrived in this world and here long after they are gone.

Snow covered mountain peaks, some rocky and rugged, others soft, like rolling hills. Both reaching high above timberline, right up to the vast blue sky.

To see the sun bounce off these peaks and offer its warmth to them and to us, not only warms my exterior but also warms my soul and opens me to the wonder of today and the beauty that only nature can provide.

In these troubled days, seek out the beauty in your life and let it fill your being with light and let it bring joy to your soul.

And give thanks.
